Hello! My name is Amanda Reid, and I’m proud to be asking for your support as I run this October to be the Mayor of the Township of Mapleton.

I’m committed to making Mapleton a strong, vibrant and welcoming place to live, work and raise a family. I live in Alma with my husband, Mark, and our two children, and I’m proud to call Mapleton home.

As a lifelong advocate for rural communities, I bring a practical perspective shaped by my experience in business, community involvement and municipal government. I understand the opportunities and challenges facing rural Mapleton, and I believe local government works best when we listen, collaborate and get things done.

I’m passionate about responsible growth, economic development, supporting local businesses and agriculture, investing in infrastructure, and building strong communities where families and residents can thrive.

Through my work on Council and my involvement with municipalities across rural Ontario, I’m committed to ensuring Mapleton has a strong voice—not only locally, but at the County and provincial levels.

I believe in Moving Mapleton Forward by building on what makes our community special while preparing for the opportunities of tomorrow.
